1 Alpake Santusta: We are very happy people.... find happiness in small things. PAKHALA and Saga bhaja(our usual daily food) can keep us happy. Infact, it can be said with certainity that if an ODIA is provided with BHATA and DALMA everyday.......... he would do nothing for the rest of his time....no good..... no bad.... and certainly no evil. Just like lord SHIVA, he is ASUOSH. A little cajoling and he is your best buddy for life.
2 VERY TOLERANT PEOPLE: Tolerance comes naturally to us. We are non-judgemental about most things. Only when someone dares to throw TRASH in our homes, we react.
3 ALSO LETS OTHERS FEEL GOOD: More often than not, an ODIA will listen to your COCK and BULL story just to make you feel good. Trust me, he is no IDIOT. He will only appreciate and respect if you are HONEST. Sometimes, he listens because he has nothing else to do. At other times, he just listens so that he can speak later on. And if you feed him with BOUNCERS....... be ready for HOOKS AND PULLS.......and SOME UNORTHODOX BUT EFFECTIVE SHOTS. He will bat like there are no fielders..... INFACT , the fielders better put on helmets.
4 Core Philosophy AN ODIA THINKS EVERYTHING OTHER THAN HIM IS MAGHIA: hE feels he does not need to trust anyone other than Lord JAGANNATH. Though he is not paranoid. He doesnt believe in COEXISTENCE, he believes in COLIVING. It is only when someone or something doesnt allow him to LIVE, does he SCREW back. 3 Very Important reason: Biharis, UPites and other BHAIYAAS are causing a lot of sound pollution wid their slangs.............MADARCHODH< BEHENCHODH, BURR. Bengalis have polluted with what they consider their most prized possession........BHONSDI. Telegus , Marwadis.............every Non-Odiya always brings SLANGS from their motherland...... and mostly leaves the'GOOD CULTURE' of their land behind. A Gujju, an otherwise coward was very happy to be posted in BHUBANESWAR.........He told me: 'GANDI MARIBI SAMASTANKU' i REPLIED BACK' MAHAGIYAAAA BESI CHODI HONI............. GANDI PHATEI BIYA KARI GEYEINBI. Now he is in AHMEDABAD.
4 yESSS, CONVENT EDUCATED, so called polished people are also using FUCK far too frequently than is required..... WE KNOW U R STARVED, BUT ITS IRRITATING
SO, If you are goin to use slangs anyway, plzzz atleast use our local slangs. We CAn tALK in our Language, walk in your attire, but SLEDGING WE DO IT IN OUR LANGUAGE
